SPORT & ART FOR WELLBEING

Your Set Project

Miss World Beauty with a Purpose

  • Instagram Your Set Project

Your Set helps all ages across Western Australia to realize their full potential through sport and art for well-being.

“Your Set” is a not-for-profit project designed to encourage people in Western Australia to participate in sport and the arts to build self-confidence and connections.

The aim of this initiative is to help Australians feel a sense of belonging, no matter their age.

I founded Your Set as my Beauty With a Purpose project for Miss World Australia

because connection is something that’s deeply personal to me — not just a feeling,

but a vital part of who we are.

Mission Statement

To help people in Western Australia, no matter their age or background, to realize their full potential through art and sport for wellbeing. In particular bringing youth together to support each other’s passions and grow into confident new adults. Running sport and art workshops for diverse communities

Reason

Your Set brings together two powerful tools — sport and art — to bring people together to move, create, and connect. Your Set isn’t just a project — it’s a movement grounded in belonging. Because belonging isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity that changes lives. When we welcome everyone — no matter their background or ability — we build stronger, healthier communities.

Background

What makes Your Set special is how it combines movement and creativity to create

welcoming, pressure-free spaces. It might be a fun art and movement workshop, a

run club with coffee after, or a volunteering event that connects generations. The

goal is always the same: to belong.

Having a wide support network myself within the arts and sporting communities I have truly benefited from all the connections I have made from my youth now in my new adult stage of life and want to ensure people have access to these opportunities I have been so fortunate to have.

About Me

This project is personal for me. I’m a runner, actor, costume designer — but I’ve also

had hands-on experience working with communities. I was an intern with Variety —

the Children’s Charity as part of my Masters of Strategic Communication — where I

learned so much about supporting kids and families facing challenges. Now, I’m

actively involved with Varity, Fair Game, and Meath - helping people access sport

and inclusion opportunities in a very hands-on way.

As a creative artist and athlete I have personally felt the positive impacts of both sport and art for wellbeing. Graduating from WAAPA and working in the film and fashion industry I am a committed member of this community, running workshops for youth in modelling and being a committee member for the WA Teen Fashion Awards working as an MC and Judge over the years. As a qualified fitness coach (Cert III) and currently studying my Cert IV in Fitness, having a background in bodybuilding and track running including many other sports I am also dedicated to creating safe spaces for all children and athletes being a past volunteer for Rebound Whiz Kid which runs workshops for children living with disabilities to play sports on the weekend.

Your Set isn’t just a project — it’s a movement grounded in belonging. Because

belonging isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity that changes lives. When we welcome

everyone — no matter their background or ability — we build stronger, healthier

communities.

Your Set Initiatives

Variety the Children's Charity

Volunteer, Past Intern and Member of the Variety WA Events Committee

After completing my internship with Variety: the Children’s Charity I have been invited to serve on the WA Events Committee working towards creating networking opportunities for those involved in the charity and also volunteering at events that support children living through sickness, disadvantage or living with disability.

“Variety: the Children’s Charity allows kids to gain mobility, get out and about in the community, to communicate, achieve independence and increase their self-esteem.” Making sure that kids who miss out can always join in. This ethos of the charity aligns with my “Your Set” Beauty with a Purpose as it embodies the idea of setting young people up to become more independent teens and adults.

Community Networking Events

Perth, Western Australia

In 2024 and 2025 I have run multiple community fundraising and networking events.

In June 2024 I supported the local Bunnings cooking the sausage sizzle to raise funds for Variety. I also hosted a High Tea on the 1st of August 2024 to raise funds for the charity.

Sport for Well-being

On Sunday 10th of March I ran a 5km Fun Run in support of Variety: the Children's Charity and on Sunday 19th of May I ran 12km to raise funds. Throwing a high tea on Thursday the 1st of August brought diverse age groups together to network while also raise funds for Variety. Aligning with my sports for well-being initiative I volunteered at the Central Park Plunge for Variety and set up the tent for Variety at the WA Strongman event in November 2024.

Art for Well-being

In March 2024 I held a charity movie screening at The Backlot in Perth to raise funds for Variety and also gather people of all ages to watch the classic "Superman".

As a market stall holder I raised funds for Variety by selling repurposed Denim Bucket Hats, creating Cat Jane Sustain to inform people of the importance of sustainable fashion for our environment.

Workshops

Sport & Art for Wellbeing

In January 2025 I ran a full day modelling workshop to teach youth groups the importance of self-confidence and the joy of art for wellbeing during the ‘Holiday Academy’ for Kids and Teens. I will be running workshops in the art of repurposing old garments to make new items to inspire young people to learn more about the important environmental issues clothing contribute to.

On the 18th of July 2025 I ran an acting workshop for kids and teens a part of the agency PADWA. I continue to teach youth and will be running workshops every Tuesday afternoon soon.

WA Teen Fashion Awards Committee

WAAPA Graduate Costume Specialisation

I serve on the committee for the WA Teen Fashion awards, in support of youth in the arts. Being a past contestant and winner of this show I have first hand seen what the support of this community can do for a young adult pursing their passions. MCing one year and also Judging the Awards Show another I continue to develop the show with local Perth teachers from different schools, also in the past working as an assistant at a school for their Wearable Art program.

In March 2025 I was Creative Director, Design Coordinator and had my own Fashion Collection (Froth & Bubbles) in Glam Nepal x Australia's Next Top Designer Runway Show in Sydney at the Maritime Museum.

Fair Game Australia

Volunteer at the WA Warehouse

Starting in late July of 2025 every Tuesday morning I am volunteering my time to help sort sports equipment donated to Fair Game Australia.

Fair Game is a charity supporting under-serviced communities in Western Australia to make healthy lifestyle choices. They run fun health education and fitness programs in remote Aboriginal communities, inspiring children to keep active and healthy.

Through donations of pre-loved sporting equipment, they help those facing barriers access the social, physical and mental benefits of sport.

Launching Soon...

Sports Clothing Donations

A lack of appropriate sports clothing has led to a significant reduction in exercise in young girls who are socially disadvantaged. “Your Set” Sport Clothing Donations aims to provide recycled, coordinated exercise clothing to encourage participation in exercise and promote lifelong health while reducing textile waste.

Recent studies have shown that “the peak age for girls dropping out of sport is 15 years old,” due mainly to three factors “perceived lack of role models, body confidence and a conflict with time for study” (BBC, 2022).

My aim is for young Australian women to feel confident in their exercise clothing, and not have to spend their own money on expensive items, since one of the major reason teenage girls give up sport is body confidence issues (Sabiston et al, 2019; Slater and Tiggeman, 2010).

Group Fitness Classes

As a certified Fitness Coach (Cert III) currently studying to become a PT (Cert VI), I have a keen passion to inspire young people to stay in sport leading to their adult years. I will soon be running group classes and am currently a member of the UWA Run Club which gathers every Tuesday morning on Campus.
